What’s in your mind if I ask about your past 20 years life? It’s a LONG time or just like a blink?

如何數算20年的點點滴滴？對你來說像是一眨眼還是好長一段時間？

I was the freshman at the university in 1995 and got my first computer, windows 95, from my lovely aunt three years later. This type computer has disappeared in the world, I reckon.

I didn’t have to do my reports in friends’ since I had my own brand new computer then.
It could not be as efficient as the laptop nowadays. We still used dial-up connection at that time, so I couldn’t do my assignments and discuss research material with my classmates at the same time because landline was occupied by dial-up modem and I had no mobile then.
The benefit for me is, I started learning by myself and became an independent modern woman, never relying on anyone. (true?no!)

讓我不用再去朋友家打報告
雖然速度無法與現在比擬
上網要撥接電話
讓沒有手機的我（手機應該那時候也不普遍）
很難一邊查資料打報告一邊打電話跟同學討論
但也可能就是這樣養成我這麼獨立作業的好習慣（哈哈…牽強）

Anyway, my point is I have had the good habit, backup all the date in the storage equipment, since then.
My storage equipment was including the ancient 3.5″ floppy disk. Don’t tease me, someone used 5.25″ disk then. I was modern, OK!?

anyway我的重點在於
從那時候起
我就開始有存檔的好習慣
一開始當然是使用3.5吋磁碟（已經比5.25吋還更新潮囉！）

Followed by floppy disk was CD (Computer disk) and then USB flash disk.
The 500G portal storage device, my currently equipment, has been out of date.
Most people use at least 1T ones or Cloud.

接著燒錄CD，然後才是容量越來越大的USB(USB flash disk)
現在我所使用的500G外接碟已經是有夠老氣的產品
因為大家的外接碟都嘛1TB起跳
不然就是用雲端

OMG, why am I still blabber on the ancient story…
Ok, okay.
My point is, I never 100% trust technology; as a result, I’m not only using Cloud but also my outdated 500G portable storage device to backup my data.
Therefore, when I gave up Windows and altered to Mac, I have to formate my portable device and Mac can accept it as a qualified storage device.

（天啊怎麼還是沒講到重點）
我的重點是
除了雲端之外
我還是疑心病的必須用外接碟備份我的資料、相片、影片
近日從Window電腦換到Apple Mac電腦後
發現外接碟格式無法再Apple Mac寫入新資料
所以必須重新格式化我的硬碟

I found almost everything in my past 20-year life was saved in the portable device storage, including all the assignments in the University, resumés, working folders, and lots of photos.
How LONG is a 20-year LONG?
For a laptop, it can easily erase the 20-year life in 1 minute; Mac is even more efficient, only less than 10 second. Mac can delete the data and formate the device (the life) as a bonus in less than 10 second.
